Two more arrested in Juba Dal leader murder in Pallabi

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-4) has arrested two more top criminals in connection with the murder of Golam Kibria, the Member Secretary of the Jubo Dal’s Pallabi Thana unit in the capital.

The arrestees are top criminal and alleged mastermind of the murder, Sohel alias ‘Pata Sohel’ alias Monir Hossain, and “Buk Pora” Sujan.

Major Mohammad Abrar Faisal Sadi, Media Officer of RAB-4, confirmed the arrests to Jago News on Wednesday (19 November) afternoon.

He said that following the murder of Jubo Dal leader Golam Kibria at a hardware shop in C Block near the old Pallabi Police Station on Monday evening, RAB launched a shadow investigation. Based on that investigation, the mastermind Sohel and Sujan were arrested. Details will be disclosed at a press briefing at the RAB Media Centre in Karwan Bazar later on Wednesday afternoon.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Golam Kibria’s wife, Sabiha Akhter Dina, filed a murder case with Pallabi Police Station. The accused named in the case are: Md Jony Bhuiyan, 25; Sohel, 30; Sohag alias Kallu, 27; Masum alias Bhagina Masum, 28; and Rokon, 30. Additionally, 7–8 unidentified individuals have also been accused.

Following the incident, police arrested hired killer Jony. With the latest arrests, the total number of people detained in connection with the murder has risen to three.
