Six more deaths were reported from dengue in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 349 this year.
Of the new deaths, three were reported in Rajshahi Division (Out of CC), two in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and another in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).
During the period, 788 more patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, raising the total cases to 87,712 to date this year, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a statement today (November 19).
Of the new cases, 87 were recorded in Barishal division (Out of CC), 108 in Chattogram division (Out of CC), 130 in Dhaka division (Out of CC), 166 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), and 86 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).
Besides, 66 new cases were recorded in Khulna division (Out of CC), 54 in Mymensingh division (Out of CC), 88 in Rajshahi division (Out of CC), and three in Sylhet division (Out of CC).
