Gold prices rise by 2,612 to Tk 2.09 lakh a bhori

The Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association (BAJUS) has raised the prices of gold, with 22-carat gold rising by Tk 2,612 to Tk 2,09,520 per bhori (11.664 grams).

Besides, jewelers increased the prices of 21-carat gold by Tk 2,508 to Tk 2,00,003 per bhori, 18-carat by Tk 2,135 to Tk 1,71,426, and gold of the traditional method by Tk 1,831 to Tk 1,42,592, respectively.

The price hike is attributed to a rise in the prices of pure gold in the local market, a BAJUS statement said on Wednesday, November 19.

The new prices will take effect on Thursday, November 20.

Earlier on Tuesday, November 18, the BAJUS reduced the prices of gold, with 22-carat gold down by Tk 1,364 to Tk 2,06,908 per bhori.
