A fire erupted on Monday afternoon, November 24, in a multi-storey building in the Kadamtali area of Chattogram, prompting the deployment of seven fire service units to bring the blaze under control.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:30 pm in the Chairman Building, located near Kadamtali Pora Mosque under the jurisdiction of Kotwali Police Station.
According to the fire service, a blanket warehouse on the building’s fifth floor was the seat of the fire.
Alamgir Hossain, Deputy Assistant Director of Agrabad Fire Station, told Jago News: “We received a report of a fire in a blanket warehouse in the Kadamtali Pora Mosque area and immediately dispatched teams to the scene. Seven units are currently working to contain the blaze.”
The fire service has not yet determined the cause of the incident.
