The officers-in-charge (OCs) of all 50 police stations under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have been transferred ahead of the upcoming Jatiya Sangsad elections.
The reshuffle was made in an office order signed by DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md Sajjat Ali on Thursday, December 4.
Earlier, the government appointed or transferred 527 police officials as OCs across the country through a lottery aimed at maintaining the law and order situation during the elections.
On November 26, superintendents of police (SPs) were also appointed for 64 districts through a lottery.
