Dr Zubaida Rahman, wife of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, has arrived in Dhaka as part of preparations to take her mother-in-law, Khaleda Zia, to London for advanced medical treatment. The aircraft carrying her landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:45 am on Friday.
However, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will not be flown to London on Friday (December 5) due to a delay in the arrival of the special air ambulance provided by the Emir of Qatar. If her health remains stable and the medical board gives approval, she may fly to London next Sunday (December 7).
Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP media cell, cited BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir as the source of this information on Friday.
