The country's lowest temperature has been recorded at 10.5 degrees Celsius in Panchagarh's Tetulia.
The mercury dropped to 10.5 degrees Celsius, the lowest so far this winter season, at 9:00 am on Saturday, December 6, said Jitendranath Roy, an observer at the Tentulia Meteorological Observatory.
However, the highest temperature (daytime) in the district remained unchanged at 27 degrees Celsius for the last two days.
Officials said a one or two cold waves may sweep over the country in mid-December.
