The Election Commission (EC) has granted final registration to 81 domestic election observer organisations ahead of the 13th parliamentary elections, the EC announced on Monday, December 8.
Earlier, on September 28, the EC had published a preliminary list of 73 local observer organisations eligible to monitor the elections.
The organisations were asked to submit any objections or complaints in writing to the EC Secretary by October 20, along with supporting evidence.
After a review process, 66 organisations received final approval in the first phase, with registration valid from November 6, 2025, to November 5, 2030.
In the second phase, 15 additional organisations were approved following verification, with registration valid for five years from December 4, 2025, to December 3, 2030.
