Inquilab Moncho spokesperson and independent candidate for the Dhaka-8 constituency, Sharif Osman Hadi, has been shot.
The incident occurred in the Bijoynagar area of the capital after Jummah prayers on Friday. He has been taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
Ramna Division’s Deputy Police Commissioner Masud Alam said, “I have heard that he was shot. However, we do not know the exact location. We will provide more information once the details are confirmed.”
