Two police officials were killed when a covered van hit a motorcycle in Bheramara upazila of Kushtia on Tuesday, December 16.
The deceased were identified as Inspector Mozaharul Islam and ASI Koyed Uddin, both assigned to the Detective Branch (DB) of the Police, Ishwardi.
Quoting locals, Chourhas Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abu Obayed said that a covered van hit a motorbike near the Lalon Shah Bridge around 12:00 noon, leaving its two riders dead on the spot.
Later, the police personnel recovered the bodies and sent them to Kushtia General Hospital morgue, the OC added.
