Rokeya Begum, mother of Jago News' news editor Mahbub Alam Rony, passed away in the early hours of Thursday, December 18. She was 69.
She had been suffering from various old-age complications, including diabetes.
She will be buried at Sagharia graveyard in Munshiganj's Louhajang upazila following her namaz-e-janaza after Johr prayers.
Rokeya Begum is survived by her four sons and several grandchildren. Mahbub Alam is her youngest son.
Earlier, Mahbub Alam's father, Md Yunus Mia, died in 2014, and his brother, Abul Kashem Shahin, passed away in 2020.
Jago News Editor KM Zeaul Haque and its staff mourned Rokeya Begum's death and sought pardon for her departed soul.
