The government will brief diplomats stationed in Dhaka on current issues at 3:00 pm on Thursday, December 18, amid the recent escalation of regional tension and the country's law and order situation.
Foreign Secretary Asad Alam Siam will brief the diplomats, development partners, and other stakeholders at the Foreign Service Academy.
He will provide details about the next national elections, the timeframe and roadmap, law and order situation in the election atmosphere, and preparations for the polls.
He will brief them on the process of power transfer after the election and steps to maintain coordination and fairness between the government and elected public representatives.
