The offices of Prothom Alo and Daily Star newspapers in Dhaka have been vandalised and set on fire.
A group of angry people first attacked the office of Prothom Alo at Karwan Bazar and later attacked the office of Daily Star at Farmgate.
After Inqilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi's death news spread, a group of people with a procession from Shahbagh went to Karwar Bazar, and they began demonstrations in front of the Prothom Alo office.

After the attack on Prothom Alo, the demonstrators set fire to the Daily Star office at about 12:30 am.
Later, the Fire Service and army personnel began work to bring the fire under control.
