The body of Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of the Inqilab Mancha, will arrive in Dhaka at around 6:00 pm on Friday, December 19.
A post shared from the Inqilab Mancha's official Facebook page confirmed the matter in the afternoon.
According to the post, the plane carrying Osman Hadi’s body will land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. From there, the coffin will be escorted to Dhaka University (DU).
The public is urged to gather peacefully and orderly along the route from the airport to Shahbagh to pay their final respects to the fallen leader.
Following the procession, the body will be taken to the Dhaka University Central Mosque, where people will be able to pay homage.
Hadi, an independent candidate for Dhaka-8 constituency, passed away on Thursday night, December 18, while receiving treatment at Singapore General Hospital.
Hadi was critically injured when two assailants opened fire on him while traveling on a rickshaw near the Box Culvert Road in Dhaka's Bijoynagar area.
Two individuals on a motorcycle approached his rickshaw, and one of them shot him from close range before fleeing the scene.
