A case has been filed against 350 people over the arson attack on the cultural organisation Chhayanaut's office in Dhaka.
The organisation's chief manager, Dulal Ghosh, filed the case with Dhanmondi police station on Saturday night, December 20, officier-in-charge Saiful Islam confirmed on Sunday, December 21.
The Chhayanaut office in Dhanmondi was set on fire and vandalised in the early hours of Friday, December 19, after the death of Inqilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman bin Hadi, a prominent figure of the July Uprising.
Witnesses said a group of individuals in helmets and masks stormed the building, damaged valuables, and set fire to both inside and outside the premises.
Earlier, the offices of Prothom Alo and Daily Star newspapers were torched and vandalised by a group of unruly people following Osman Hadi's death news spread.
