Two more people died of dengue, while 194 patients were hospitalised across the country in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Among the 194 new patients, 26 are from Dhaka Division (Out of City Corporation), 28 from Dhaka North City Corporation, 22 from Dhaka South City Corporation, 23 from Khulna Division (Out of City Corporation), 5 from Mymensingh Division (Out of City Corporation), 12 from Rajshahi Division (Out of City Corporation), and 1 from Rangpur Division (Out of City Corporation).
In 2024, a total of 101,214 people were infected with dengue, resulting in 575 deaths. The situation was even more severe in 2023, when dengue claimed a record 1,705 lives, and 321,179 patients were hospitalised across the country.
