BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman will pay tribute on Friday (December 26) at the grave of martyred President Ziaur Rahman and at the National Memorial in Savar.
The information was confirmed on Thursday night (December 25) by BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan.
He said that after the Jummah prayers on Friday, Tarique Rahman will offer fateha and take part in a munajat at the mausoleum of martyred President Ziaur Rahman. Party leaders and activists will accompany him. He will later pay tribute at the National Memorial in Savar.
Tarique Rahman returned to the country after more than 17 years on Thursday. The aircraft carrying Tarique Rahman, his wife Zubaida Rahman, and their daughter Zaima Rahman landed at Sylhet Osmani International Airport at 9:57 am. After a brief stopover, the aircraft touched down at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at around 11:40 am.
