A total of 114 dengue patients were hospitalised across the country in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
No dengue-related deaths were reported during the period, the DGHS said.
Of the newly hospitalised patients, 10 were from Barishal division, 40 from Chattogram division, four from Dhaka division outside the capital, 16 from areas under Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 25 from Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 14 from Khulna division, three from Mymensingh division and two from Sylhet division.
Since the start of this year’s dengue outbreak, Bangladesh has recorded 412 deaths, while 102,562 people have been infected.
Last year, dengue claimed 575 lives and affected 101,214 people across the country.
