Bangladeshi IT frm Betopia opens subsidiary in Manila

Bangladeshi IT company Betopia Limited has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Beyond Borders Outsourcing Services Inc of the Philippines to expand its presence in the global market, officials said.

As part of the collaboration, Betopia Limited – specialised in artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing and cybersecurity – will open a subsidiary in the Philippines, marking a significant step in its international expansion.

Under the agreement, the two parties have adopted an equity participation structure of 60:40, with 60 percent local ownership and 40 percent foreign ownership.

The signing ceremony was held in Manila on December 26, attended by senior officials from both organisations, including Ron Vergara, CTO and CMO of Beyond Borders Outsourcing Services Inc.; Muhammad Monir Hossain, founder and group CEO of Betopia Group; and Rakibul Islam, chief technology officer of Betopia Limited.

According to the partnership framework, Betopia Limited will provide advanced technology infrastructure, system development and modernisation services, AI-based platforms, ERP and automation tools, web design and hosting, application design enhancement, operational support, branding activities, and continuous innovation. Training, product development and all technological initiatives will be implemented in line with Betopia Group’s global standards.

Speaking at the event, Muhammad Monir Hossain said the decision to establish a subsidiary in the Philippines marked a major milestone for the company. “This partnership strengthens our ability to enhance digital experiences and expand our footprint beyond borders,” he said.

He added that Betopia Limited will deliver and manage core digital and operational services from Bangladesh, while Beyond Borders Outsourcing Services will focus on client acquisition, sales and business development. The collaboration will remain exclusive to technology, ERP, AI and digital services, he noted.

Ron Vergara said the partnership would enhance Beyond Borders’ service capabilities. “This collaboration will strengthen our client acquisition, sales generation and business development efforts. Together, we aim to drive sustainable growth and deliver greater value to our clients,” he said.

Industry analysts note that the Philippines offers strong growth potential for technology firms, with the country’s ICT market projected to reach $106 billion by 2035 amid expanding digital infrastructure, strong BPO performance and rising cloud adoption.

Betopia Group said the move aligns with its long-term strategy to support global businesses through AI-driven, cloud-based and cybersecurity solutions.
