111 dengue patients hospitalised in 24 hours

A total of 114 dengue patients were hospitalised across the country in the past 24 hours, according to Health Emergency Operation and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

No dengue-related deaths were reported during the period, the DGHS said.

Of the newly hospitalised patients, 6 are from Barishal Division (Out of CC), 27 from Chattogram Division (Out of CC), 8 from Dhaka Division (Out of CC), 39 from Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 10 from Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 6 from Khulna Division (Out of CC), one from Mymensingh Divsion (Out of CC), and 14 from Rajshahi Divsion (Out of CC).

Since the start of this year’s dengue outbreak, Bangladesh has recorded 412 deaths, while 102,673 people have been infected.

Last year, dengue claimed 575 lives and affected 101,214 people across the country.
