Khaleda’s death: Classes, exams suspended at JU

The authorities of Jahangirnagar University have suspended all classes and examinations in mourning the death of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia on Tuesday, December 30.

An office notice, signed by JU acting registrar ABM Azizur Rahman, was issued in this regard in the morning.

According to the notice, the university authorities expressed profound grief over the death of Khaleda Zia. They also prayed for her departed soul and extended condolences to her bereaved family.

The university administration has also postponed all administrative and departmental meetings scheduled for the day as a mark of respect.

The notice further mentioned that all members of the university community will voluntarily wear black badges today to honor the late leader.
