Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus arrived at Manik Mia Avenue in Dhaka at 2:05 pm on Wednesday, December 31, to attend the funeral of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia. He joined the line of mourners paying their respects.
Members of the Advisory Council, the chiefs of the three-armed forces, and senior political leaders, including BNP representatives, were also present. The funeral prayer for Khaleda Zia is scheduled to begin shortly.
Following the Chief Adviser’s arrival, Khaleda Zia’s body was brought to the venue in a red-and-green flag-draped freezer van.
