Three people were killed and two others injured as a covered van rammed a battery-run van in Madaripur's Sadar upazila on Tuesday, January 13.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
A covered van hit a battery-run van in Tatibari area on the Dhaka-Barishal highway around 11:30 am, leaving two individuals dead on the spot and three others injured, said Mostafapur highway police station's officer-in-charge, Mamun Al Rashid.
The injured were rushed to Madaripur 250-bed Hospital, where one was declared dead, he said.
