Jago News' Shipon gets capital market journalism excellence award

Sayeed Shipon, senior staff reporter at Jago News, has received the BSEC Capital Market Journalism Excellence Award in recognition of his notable contribution and professionalism in making stories about the stock market.

Bangladesh Security Exchange Commission Chairman Khandakar Rashed handed over cash and certificates to the winners at a ceremony on Thursday, January 15.

BSEC launched the Capital Market Journalism Excellence Award and Fellowship this year to recognise responsible, informative and investigative journalism related to the share market.

Sayeed Shipon of Jago News achieved the prize for making a series of investigative stories about the stock market's policy-making, investment risks, market fairness, and various important issues regarding general investors' interests.

Previously, Sayeed Shipon received various awards, including Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) Best Reporting Award, Capital Market Journalist Forum (CMJF) Best Reporting Award and Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) Best Reporting Award.
