A fire that broke out in a residential building at Jigatola in the capital has been brought under control after about half an hour of efforts.
Confirming the mattter, Fire Service Duty Officer Rozina Akter said that the blaze erupted on the third floor of a four-story building in the area around 2:36 pm.
Two units from the Hazaribag Fire Station rushed to the scene and brought the fire under control at around 3:15 pm.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage could not be determined immediately, she added.
