The BNP has said there is no reality and truth in the claim of deals between the party and India and sees it as political propaganda.
BNP Election Steering Committee spokesperson Mahdi Amin said this in reply to a question from journalists at a press briefing at the party's Gulshan office on Saturday, January 24.
Indicating BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman, Jamaat-e-Islami Nayeb-e-Amir Syed Abdullah Muhammad Taher recently claimed that the party signed three agreements with India.
When asked about this, Mahdi Amin said the influential leader of a political party could not provide evidence supporting his claim and would not be able to do so. "Because the claim has no reality and truth."
"We categorically want to say that the claim of deals between BNP and India is completely propaganda," Mahdi Amin added.
