At least four people, including two students of Jahangirnagar University (JU), sustained burn injuries in a house fire in the Islamnagar area of Savar on Tuesday night, January 27.
The fire broke out on the second floor of a residential building located near the university campus.
The injured students were identified as Md Saiful Islam Roni, a student from the 47th batch of the Anthropology department of Jahangirnagar University, and his friend Hasinur. Two other individuals, Abdus Sobhan Ray and Rahat, were also seriously injured in the incident.
