2 SSC examinees die as truck rams motorbike in Bogura

Two Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinees were killed when a truck hit a motorcycle in Bogura's Nandigram on Wednesday morning, January 28.

The deceased were identified as Nehal Hossain, 17, son of Ratan Sardar, a resident of Bhortetulia village in the upazila, and Sijanur Rahman, 17, son of Liton Hossain, from Lalpur upazila in Natore.

Both were the SSC examinees from Ma KG and High School in the upazila.

Quoting locals, Nandigram police station officer-in-Charge, Mizanur Rahman, said that an unidentified truck rammed the motorcycle in Dalgacha area around 11:00 am, leaving its riders, Sijanur and Nehal, dead on the spot.

The truck fled the scene immediately after the accident, he said.

Later, the bodies were sent to the Nandigram Upazila Health Complex, the OC said, adding that efforts are underway to identify the vehicle.
