The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has extended the income tax return submission deadline for individual taxpayers by another month, considering various issues, including the electioneering for the 13th parliamentary election and referendum.
Now, individual taxpayers can submit their tax returns until February 28 without fines, according to a special order issued by the NBR on Thursday, January 29.
The deadline was previously scheduled to end on January 31. Earlier, the NBR extended the timeline in two phases.
The income tax return submission deadline is usually November 30 every year; however, the NBR extends it several times for the convenience of taxpayers.
