Gold prices surge again within hours, now bhori Tk 2.62 lakh

The jewellers have increased gold prices again within hours, with the best quality gold (22-carat) jumping by Tk 10,906 per bhori.

Now, 22-carat gold will cost Tk 2,62,090 per bhori, while the price of 21-carat gold rose by Tk 10,439 to Tk 2,50,193 a bhori, 18-carat by Tk 8,923 to Tk 2,14,443, and traditional method gold by Tk 7,290 to Tk 1,75,485, respectively.

The Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association (BAJUS) decided to hike gold prices on Tuesday, February 3, citing an increase in the prices of pure gold in the local market.

The new prices take effect from 3:45 pm today, according to the BAJUS.

Earlier this morning, gold prices soared, with 22-carat gold going up by Tk 5,424 to 251,184 per bhori.
