Election to the Sherpur-3 constituency (Sreebardi-Jhenaigati) has been postponed after the death of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Muhammad Nuruzzaman Badal.
Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Mahmudur Rahman confirmed the matter around 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 4.
As a result, the 13th parliamentary election will be held in 299 seats, scheduled for February 12.

Nuruzzaman Badal, Jamaat's Sherpur district secretary, passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, February 4.
He had been suffering from kidney-related complications for a long time.
