Six platoons of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed near the Chief Advisor's official residence, Jamuna, amid ongoing protests outside the area.

To ensure the safety of the Chief Adviser’s residence, BGB personnel have been stationed around the Kakrail Mosque and Hotel Intercontinental area.
Police reportedly used lathis, water cannons, and sound grenades on the protesting government employees during the demonstrations.
Confirming the matter, BGB Public Relations Officer Md Shariful Islam confirmed the deployment said taht six platoons of BGB have been deployed to secure the Jamuna state residence, covering the Kakrail Mosque and Hotel Intercontinental areas.
