The BNP has promised that it will keep prime minister's tenure at 10 years, and create the post of Deputy President if it comes to power.
The promise was made in the party's election manifesto unveiled on Friday, February 6, ahead of the 13th parliamentary election.
The party pledged to form the upper house of parliament, appoint the deputy speaker from the opposition, and ensure 20 per cent of women's participation in the upper house.
The party also said it will reinstate "absolute faith and trust in the Almighty Allah" as the fundamental principles of state governance.
BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman announced the manifesto at Hotel Sonargaon this afternoon.
