44th BCS: 1,490 appointed to various cadres

A total of 1,490 candidates have been appointed to various cadres through the 44th Bangladesh Civil Service examination.

The orders, issued by the New Appointments Division of the Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday, February 5, were made public on Friday, February 6.

Among the appointees, 244 joined the administration cadre, 48 the police cadre, 9 the foreign affairs cadre, and 29 the audit and accounts cadre, and others.

According to the appointment order, the selected candidates must report to their respective cadre-controlling ministries by February 9. Unless directed otherwise, they are expected to join their assigned ministries on that date. Failure to report will be considered a refusal of appointment, and the appointment letter will be deemed canceled.

Earlier, on June 30 last year, the Public Service Commission published the final results of the 44th BCS, recommending 1,690 candidates for appointments to fill 1,710 vacant posts across various cadres.
