Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain, spokesperson of the National Citizen Party (NCP) and chairman of the party’s central election management committee, has announced that they are preparing to form a shadow cabinet.
In a post on his verified Facebook page at 10:16 am on Sunday, Asif Mahmud stated, “We are preparing to form a shadow cabinet. The shadow cabinet will act as a watchdog, ensuring transparency and accountability in overall operations.”
Notably, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)-led alliance secured a majority in the 13th national parliamentary elections, winning 212 constituencies, while the Jamaat-e-Islami-led alliance won 77 seats, independent candidates won seven seats, and Islami Andolon won one seat.
