Rumeen leaves as reform council oath begins

Independent lawmaker Rumeen Farhana, elected from Brahmanbaria-2, took the oath as a member of parliament alongside MPs from Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami on Tuesday.

However, she left the venue shortly after the oath-taking ceremony for the Constitutional Reform Council began.

Following the parliamentary oath, Jamaat lawmakers proceeded to take their oath as members of the Constitutional Reform Council. After Rumeen’s departure, 68 Jamaat MPs completed the reform council oath and signed the official register, mentioning their respective constituencies.
