Muslims in Bangladesh will begin fasting on Thursday, February 19, as the moon of Ramadan was sighted on Wednesday, February 18.
The National Moon Sighting Committee decided this in a meeting held at the Islamic Foundation's conference room at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque this evening.
The Islamic Foundation's public relations officer, Muhammad Nijam Uddin, confirmed the matter after the meeting.
