A mild earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale was felt in the country again. The tremor was experienced in Chhatak, Sunamganj, at 12:46pm on Thursday (February 19).
Assistant Meteorologist Farzana Sultana of the Meteorological Department in Agargaon, Dhaka, confirmed the matter.
She said the epicentre of the earthquake was in Chhatak upazila, located approximately 187 kilometres northeast of the capital, Dhaka.
Earlier, at 5:32 am on February 10, another mild earthquake measuring magnitude 4.0 was felt in Sylhet.
