Dr ANM Monowarul Kadir (Bitu), an Assistant Professor of Cardiology at Bangladesh Medical University (BMU), has been appointed as the Assistant Personal Physician to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
A notification, issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday, February 19, confirmed the matter.
He has been appointed to the position on deputation.
Dr Bitu is also serving as Joint Secretary General of the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) and as Chief Coordinator of RaktoSpondon.
Earlier, the Health Education and Family Welfare Division placed his service under the Ministry of Public Administration to facilitate his appointment as the Prime Minister’s Assistant Personal Physician.
