The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has extended the income tax return submission deadline for individual taxpayers by another month.
Now, individual taxpayers can submit their tax returns until March 31 without fines, according to an order signed by the NBR second secretary (Tax Act-1).
The deadline, previously scheduled to end on February 28, was extended again, considering the national elections, Ramadan, and the unaccustomedness in online return submission.
Earlier, the NBR extended the deadline in three phases.
The income tax return submission deadline is usually November 30 every year; however, the NBR extends it several times for the convenience of taxpayers.
