Ctg airport cancels 10 Middle East flights

Chattogram’s Shah Amanat International Airport has canceled 10 international flights following ongoing conflicts in the Middle East after a joint attack by the United States and Israel on Iran, the airport said in a press release on Sunday (1 March).

According to the statement, all international flights from Shah Amanat Airport to the Middle East, as well as incoming flights from the region, have been canceled. This includes seven arrivals and three departures that were scheduled at various times throughout the day.

Thousands Stranded at Dhaka Airport

Meanwhile, airspace over the Middle East remains closed due to retaliatory strikes between the U.S. and Israel in Iran. All flights from Bangladesh to the region have been suspended, leaving thousands of passengers stranded at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

Amid the uncertainty, many passengers are returning home from the airport, while airlines are restricting others with late-night flights from entering. There is currently no clear information on when normal operations will resume.

Sources at Shahjalal Airport said that over 150 flights operate daily from the airport, most of which connect to various Middle Eastern countries.
