Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has been hospitalised after being diagnosed with pneumonia. He is currently receiving treatment at United Hospital in Dhaka.
The minister’s personal officer, Shahiduzzaman, confirmed the news to Jago News, saying, “The minister has been admitted to United Hospital due to pneumonia. His condition is improving.”
Amir Khasru won the Chattogram-11 seat as the BNP-nominated candidate in the 13th National Parliamentary Elections and has been appointed as the Finance and Planning Minister in the new government.
