Dr FM Siddiqui, former professor of the department of Medicine at Dhaka Medical College, has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Medical University (BMU).
The appointment was confirmed on Monday by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare through an official order, with approval from the President of Bangladesh.
Dr Siddiqui has had a distinguished career in medical education and practice, serving at Dhaka Medical College Hospital and several other key medical institutions nationwide.
He retired from Dhaka Medical College after holding the position of professor in the department of Medicine.
