A meeting of the parliamentary party of the ruling Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) was held on Wednesday (March 11).
The meeting began around 11:15 am at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, with the participation of BNP MPs, and was presided over by the Leader of the House and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. It concluded at around 1:00 pm.
According to BNP sources, the meeting discussed the election of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the new parliament, as well as the issue of presiding over the parliamentary session at its beginning.
However, details of the matters discussed at the meeting were not immediately known.
