A Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinee has died after a cow gored her in Chattogram's Lohagara.
Dead Saraban Tahura, 15, was an SSC examinee from S.I Chowdhury Girls' High School in Padua area and the daughter of Mahfujur Rahman, a resident of Najar Ali Sikder Para in the upazila.
Witnesses said Tahura got hit with a pillar beside the road after a cow hit her with its horns in front of the school around 12:30 pm on Wednesday, March 11. Later, she was rushed to Lohagara Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared her dead.
Another person, Kamal Hossain, 41, from West Chibbari Khandakar Para in Satkania upazila, was also injured in the incident.
Lohagara police station's officer-in-charge, Abdul Jalil, said necessary measures will be taken after the investigation.
