Five more public universities get new vice-chancellors

The government has appointed new vice-chancellors to five public universities across the country, including the University of Chittagong.

Education and Primary and Mass Education Adviser ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon announced the appointments at a press conference at the Ministry of Education on Monday.

According to him, Mohammad Al Forkan has been appointed Vice-Chancellor of the University of Chittagong (CU).

Meanwhile, Faridul Islam has been appointed VC of the University of Rajshahi (RU), Rais Uddin of Jagannath University (JnU), Siddiqur Rahman Khan of Bangladesh Open University (BOU), and Mohammad Masud of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET).

The government said the appointments were made as part of efforts to strengthen leadership and academic governance at public universities.
