Two women, including a pregnant one, were injured after being sandwiched in the middle of two launches at Sadarghat launch terminal in Dhaka on Wednesday afternoon, March 18.
Among the injured, one was identified as Reshma Aktar, 20, from Barishal. She was pregnant.
Police and witnesses said a launch hit another boarding passengers at the terminal around 5:30 pm. At that time, two people were trapped in the middle of two launches and received serious injuries.
Being informed, fire service personnel rescued the injured and sent them to Sir Salimullah Medical College and Mitford Hospital.
Asked whether anyone died in the incident, Sadarghat River Police's assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Md Mamun told Jago News that no deaths have been reported yet; however, two individuals suffered injuries and are receiving treatment at the hospital.
