Ireland has cancelled its planned limited-overs series against Bangladesh later this year, citing financial constraints and logistical difficulties, according to a report by ESPNcricinfo.
The Bangladesh national team was scheduled to tour Ireland in July and August for a six-match white-ball series comprising three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). However, Cricket Ireland has opted to withdraw from hosting the fixtures due to resource limitations.
Officials from the Bangladesh Cricket Board said they have yet to receive formal confirmation from their Irish counterparts regarding the cancellation.
Cricket Ireland recently released its full international fixtures for the upcoming summer, confirming series against India, Afghanistan, and New Zealand. Bangladesh, however, is absent from the schedule despite earlier commitments.
