At least three people were killed and our others injured after a passenger carrying easy bike hit a truck after losing its control in Lalpur upazila of Natore on Tuesday morning.
The accident took place in the South Lalpur area on the Lalpur–Ishwardi regional highway.
Among the deceased, two individuals were identified as Zahidul Islam, 55, son of Joha Master, a resident of Chhoto Badakoya village, and Monir Hossain, 27, son of Seken Ali.
Confirming the matter, Lalpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mojibur Rahman said that the easy bike lost control and veered into the opposite lane, colliding with an oncoming truck. Following the impact, the truck crashed into a roadside shop.
That left three people dead and four others injured on the spot.
The injured were taken to the Lalpur Upazila Health Complex and later transferred to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment.
On information, a team of police recovered the bodies and brought them to the police station, the OC said, adding that further legal proceedings are underway.
