A ship carrying 62,150 more tonnes of wheat from the United States has reached the outer anchorage of Chittagong Port.
This information was shared in a press release issued by the Ministry of Food on Friday, March 27.
Sample testing of the wheat has already begun, and necessary measures have been taken to unload the wheat.
According to the release, the wheat consignment is the second under a government-to-government (G2G) purchase arrangement. Earlier, the first shipment of 58,457 tonnes of US wheat under the deal arrived in the country.
